Winning A Street Fight In 3 Steps

Winning A Street Fight - Image Source Dailymotion
Unless you’re playing the literal game, “Street Fighter”, you probably don’t think about the art of fighting. Oddly, enough that’s another video game. You are not a street fighter. You already know this, but it begs for me to repeat it. If you want to learn to fight, you have a lot of options at your disposal. Just because you learn how to fight with the tips and tricks from this blog, and the recommended products we promote, you should still remember, that you may have to use your skills in the street. Just because you do that, doesn’t make you a street fighter. But even though you may not be a fighter in the streets, you may have to fight someone in the streets, and therefore you should focus on winning in the fewest steps possible. After looking at a variety of different options, I have come up with 3 steps that should help you win a street fight. Now, this is just stated as a recommendation, and does not mean that every single scenario possible, will help you win through these steps, but you should take into account, these are to help you think about self defense on a larger scale.

Be Alert and Ready To Defuse A Situation

This is something that is very important. You should know what you are surrounded by. This should help in you regard to what weapons you may need to use, where others are going to grab something, and what is around you. If you’re in a bar, think about the exits, think about closed quarters combat, and remember you can’t get ready to put yourself in a fighting stance. You will need to be ready to defuse the situation, so be absolutely alert.

Being alert and defusing a situation doesn’t mean that you should throw down and fight. You learn to fight, so that you are prepared for a last ditch effort. To diffuse a situation, talk. Just simply talk to the person and see if you can apologize, and just let it be over. Do not intend to fight, don’t put your hands up, don’t make it look like you are going to spring into a kung fu action movie. Use confidence, stand up straight, look a person in their eyes, and say you’re sorry if you did something to offend them. If they don’t want to talk, if they still want to take things outside or perhaps they get into a fighting stance, take a deep breath.

Walk Away If You Can

There is nothing wrong with walking away. You learn to fight, so that you don’t have to fight unless you absolutely have to. I know, you don’t like this idea, and you don’t want to look like a coward. However, you don’t want to inflict damage into someone that is belligerent or is going to be easily taken care of. You would rather be called a coward than to fight. Walking away, is not bad. Do not get prideful. You have the skills that they may not have, and it’s not going to be a fair fight. If you throw your hands up and start to really lay into someone, you could kill them, and while self defense is meant to help you, you don’t want to attack. You want to walk away. Walking away means everyone wins, and you are not going to be less of a man or a woman for doing so.

Defend Yourself In A Street Fight

If you have to, if you have tried to leave the situation, and you have tried to diffuse it, to no avail, make a lot of noise. Scream, be loud, and then put your weight into your training. If you’re going to punch someone, if you’re going to kick someone, or even throw a proper elbow, make sure that you do so with all of your weight to ensure that you are able to get away, or at least keep the person down until law enforcement can come to help. You may have to call the authorities, or you may have to at least ensure that the person is not going to attack you, or goes away. Your goal is to use your training to end a street fight as fast as possible. Again, you do not learn to fight, so that you can take on all comers, but rather to learn to diffuse chaos. Fight dirty if you have to, don’t be afraid of it, the person you are up against is not going to wait for you to get into stance, to bow and go that route. You will need to fight, and use your training, if any.

There you have it, 3 steps that should help you win a street fight. Just remember, if you’re going to fight someone in the streets, make sure that you have exhausted all other recourses. If that doesn’t work, and you have to fight, make it quick. Use your training, explode, and finish the job until law enforcement comes to assist, or the person runs away. Chances are, if you snap into someone with the art of street fighting, or any methods you have, you’ll get someone to run, in due time.
